On April 8, 2026, Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, met with a delegation from the Regional Office for Youth Cooperation (RYCO), led by Secretary General Vladimir Obradović.

The strong commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enhancing regional cooperation as a means of improving stability, fostering good neighbourly relations, and promoting overall development in the region was emphasized. Minister Konaković highlighted RYCO’s important role in promoting reconciliation, cooperation, and dialogue in the Western Balkans by supporting and financing projects that unite young people from diverse communities.

Konaković underscored that active involvement in regional initiatives reflects Bosnia and Herzegovina’s dedication to dialogue and the building of mutual trust. He expressed his support for the work of RYCO, reinforcing its crucial role in strengthening regional cooperation and connecting youth in the Western Balkans.

The representatives of RYCO informed Minister Konaković about the methods of financing, key activities, strategic goals and projects implemented by the Office, with a special emphasis on programs that encourage the exchange of experiences, learning and mutual understanding among young people, as well as on the importance of the implementation of the Super School program in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Fund for Youth Culture.

The RYCO delegation, in addition to General Secretary Obradović, also included Deputy General Secretary Kreshnik Loka, Senior Advisor Feras Khairallah, and Head of the Office in BiH Nikola Kandic.
