The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb and Ambassador Kovačević-Bajtal were presented with the Golden Award and the “GLOBALLOKAL” recognition for creating a good environment for the development of entrepreneurship in the Central and Southeastern Europe region

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Republic of Croatia, Elma Kovačević-Bajtal, were awarded the Golden Award and Recognition “GLOBALLOKAL” for creating a good environment for the development of entrepreneurship in the Central and Southeastern Europe region in the category of the best public institution, within the framework of the 5th World Congress of Entrepreneurs, which was held in Ljubljana from 15 to 18 October 2025 under the title “Entrepreneurship: People. Cooperation. Development. Security”.

The award, presented by the International Economic Forum PERSPEKTIVE and the PROMO GLOBAL Zagreb Association, was presented to Ambassador Kovačević-Bajtal by the President of the Program Committee of the International Economic Forum “Perspectives” Velimir Srića, President of the Board of Directors of the Forum Vinko Ćuro and the Honorary President of the Program Committee of the International Forum “Perspectives” Ambassador Zlatko Lagumdžija.

In her speech, Ambassador Kovačević-Bajtal thanked for the award and emphasized that she was honored to receive recognition for creating a good environment for the development of entrepreneurship in Central and Eastern Europe, especially since the award comes in a time of challenges, in which creativity and the search for new opportunities are more important than ever. She added that as a long-time employee of the economic association, she deeply believes that we all must fight for a better business environment and constantly seek new modalities for improving economic cooperation. She emphasized that only by working together can we build sustainable development and open up new opportunities for our economy, and for this cooperation to truly improve, the country must have a good image. She expressed her hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will not wait long to be accepted into the European family to which it has long belonged. She invited businessmen from the region and beyond to cooperate with Bosnia and Herzegovina – a country of potential, goodwill, innovative ideas and people ready to follow the thorny path to success through systematic work

The President of the Board of Directors of the International Economic Forum PERSPEKTIVE Vinko M. Ćuro emphasized the important role of entrepreneurs in community development in his speech.

The second day of the Congress was organized in Rogaška Slatina. Among the speakers were the Honorary President of the Program Committee of the International Economic Forum PERSPEKTIVE and the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations Zlatko Lagumdžija, Majda Tafra Vlahović, and Velimir Srića.

This prestigious event brought together entrepreneurs, representatives of the academic community, government, industry and civil society from across the region, who jointly discussed current global challenges, but also the opportunities that the future brings.
